September 8 signifies the feast of the nativity of the Blessed.
Virgin Mary. Mary is the epitome of flawless obedience to Christ and love. Sunday, the 8th of September, was celebrated as Mother’s Day at St. Thomas. The family church, Mansarovar. It was celebrated with full excitement and religious fervour.  All the mothers of the church were dressed in blue. Mother Mary was first carried into the church in a procession by the mothers of the church . The entire mass was celebrated with a lively choir and prayers. Organised by the Women’s Commission. All the mothers and the female Children of the church were given gifts sponsored by the Women’s Commission.  At the end of the mass, there was a lucky draw to elect the most celebrated mother of the church, who also hoisted the flag. The gift to the most celebrated mother was sponsored by Mrs. Vimala Rawat. The flag hoisting was followed by a lunch sponsored by the Women’s Commission of the church.
