Grandparents and elders are the pillars of our families and communities. Their resilience and spirit are living testaments to the power of love and dedication. They have faced challenges, embraced joys and shared their wisdom generously enriching our lives in countless ways.

The Women Cell of St. John the Baptist Church, Lalarpura on 28th July 2024 organised Grandparents and elderly day celebration. The program began with the blessings of Almighty God through the Eucharistic celebration led by Fr. Edward Oliviera. The mass commenced with a procession led by the grandparents, elderly members, and St. Alphonsa prayer group members. The liturgical readings were conducted by the grandparents, followed by the prayer of the faithful led by the children.

After the holy mass, a short program ensued, featuring a dance by the catechism students and a heartfelt speech by one of the grandparents. The program concluded with the Parish priest presenting a small token of love to all the grandparents and elderly members of the church.

The event ended with a group photograph and breakfast for all the parishioners.The gifts and breakfast were sponsored by the women cell of St. John the Baptist Church, Lalarpura.
