Jaipur Churches Come Together to Honour Grandparents and the Elderly on World Grandparents’ & Elderly’s Day 2025

Churches across Jaipur marked World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly 2025 with heartfelt celebrations, bringing together senior parishioners, their families, and local communities in a day filled with gratitude, prayer, and fellowship. Several churches in Jaipur held special Masses in the morning, with priests dedicating homilies to the theme of honouring one’s elders. Several parishes also arranged community refreshments, giving members the opportunity to sit together, share memories, and celebrate the day in a relaxed, festive setting. Grandparents and the elderly are the “roots” of the family and the Church, carrying forward faith, tradition, and values to younger generations. The celebrations served as a reminder of the importance of respecting and caring for senior citizens — not just on this designated day, but throughout the year.
