Report on Father's Day Celebration in St. Xavier's Church, C- Scheme

Father’s Day was celebrated with great reverence and joy in the church by the JCWS to honor the love, sacrifice, and guidance of all fathers. The parishioners gathered to thank and pray for fathers in our families and community. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp by Fr. Abraham, Fr. Chinna along with senior fathers of the parish. This symbolized light, guidance and the role fathers play in leading families.

Fr. Abraham celebrated the Holy Mass. In his homily, he spoke about the importance of fathers in a family. He highlighted how fathers provide strength, protection, values, and support, and called upon children to respect and love their fathers always.

Two children from the parish came forward and shared their heartfelt views about their fathers. They spoke about their fathers’ hard work, care, and the lessons they learn from them every day. As a gesture of appreciation, a token of love was presented to all fathers present.

The celebration concluded with cake cutting by the fathers. This was followed by refreshments for all, giving families a chance to share joy and fellowship.

The Father’s Day celebration was a memorable and touching event. It reminded everyone of the vital role fathers play and gave the community and opportunity to express gratitude.
