Diocese of Jaipur – February
On 1st February and 8th February, the faithful of the Diocese of Jaipur joyfully gathered to celebrate Religious Sisters’ Day, a grace-filled occasion dedicated to honouring and appreciating the Religious Sisters who serve the Church with deep faith, unwavering commitment, and selfless love.
Inspired by the words of Scripture,
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Master.”
(Matthew 25:21)
This celebration recognised the quiet yet powerful witness of the Sisters, whose lives of consecration continue to strengthen the spiritual and social fabric of the Diocese.
Across parishes, schools, institutions, and mission centres of the Diocese of Jaipur, the Religious Sisters faithfully serve in the fields of education, healthcare, pastoral ministry, catechesis, social outreach, and care for the poor and marginalised. Rooted in prayer and guided by the Gospel, they touch lives with compassion, discipline, and hope, often working behind the scenes with humility and dedication.
As a token of gratitude, the diocesan and parish community expressed heartfelt appreciation through a symbolic gesture, acknowledging the Sisters’ tireless service and their invaluable contribution to the growth of faith and human dignity. Though modest in form, this gesture represented the collective love, respect, and prayers of the faithful of the Diocese.
During the Holy Eucharist, special intentions were offered for all Religious Sisters serving in the Diocese of Jaipur. The community prayed earnestly for:
- Strength, perseverance, and joy in their vocation
- Good health and protection in their ministries
- Spiritual renewal and inner peace
- Wisdom and guidance in responding to the needs of the times
Special prayers were also raised for new vocations, that the example of the Religious Sisters may inspire many young hearts within the Diocese to respond generously to God’s call.
The celebration served as a reminder that the Religious Sisters are a blessing and a gift to the Diocese of Jaipur. Their lives of simplicity, obedience, and loving service challenge the faithful to live the Gospel more authentically and to become instruments of God’s love in everyday life.
As the Diocese reflected with gratitude, hearts were united in thanksgiving to God for the presence of the Religious Sisters among us. Entrusting them to the loving care of the Lord, the community prayed with hope and confidence:
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you.”
(Numbers 6:24–26)
“May the Lord, who has begun this good work in them, bring it to fulfilment, and may the service of the Religious Sisters in the Diocese of Jaipur continue to bear abundant fruit for the glory of God and the good of His people.”
(cf. Philippians 1:6)
