The Women’s Commission of Diocese of Jaipur in collaboration with the Youth Commission, celebrated Youth Sunday on 13th July 2025 with great joy and spiritual enthusiasm at Gyandeep Bhavan. The event was a beautiful occasion to appreciate and encourage the youth of our Diocese, who play a vital role in the life of the Church.

The day began with a special Youth Sunday Eucharistic Celebration, animated entirely by the youth. They actively participated as readers, choir members, altar servers, and showcasing their dedication and faith. The Mass was presided over by Fr. Vineet Vincent Pareira from Diocese of Varanasi who, in his homily, urged the young people to be the salt and light of the world. One of the most touching moments of the celebration was when the women were invited to raise their hands and shower blessings upon the youth. This symbolic gesture was both emotional and spiritually uplifting, emphasizing the intergenerational bond of support, love, and prayer. It was a powerful moment of unity and grace that deeply moved everyone present. The post-Mass program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the light of wisdom, hope, and the Holy Spirit. This solemn moment marked the beginning invoking God’s presence and blessings on the youth.

Understanding the challenges faced by youth in the digital age, the Women’s Commission organized a session on Cyber Safety and Digital Responsibility, led by Mr.Arijit Nandy and Mr. Sachin Singhal, Cyber Security Experts. On the occasion of the Youth Sunday celebration, the resource persons for the Cyber Security session were warmly welcomed by Ms. Neelam Chopra and Fr. Jijo with a sapling presentation, symbolizing growth and gratitude.”

The session covered key topics such as online security, responsible social media usage, and cyberbullying. The youth showed active participation through questions, sharing of personal experiences making the session interactive and impactful.

One of the key highlights of the celebration was the felicitation of youth members by the Women’s Commission. In a short but meaningful ceremony, the Commission honoured several young individuals for their outstanding contributions in our community.

Each awardee was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation, which served as a token of recognition and encouragement. The certificates were handed over by Fr.Jaypal, Fr.MelvenJobard , Fr.Jijo in the presence of Ms.Neelam Chopra, President of the Women’s Commission .This initiative was deeply appreciated by the youth and added a spirit of celebration and affirmation to the event. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Collin Richard Blunt ,Diocesan Youth President ,who expressed gratitude to the resource persons, youth participants, volunteers, Women’s Commission and all the supporters of the event.
